In today’s world, simply relying on photos and basic identity information isn’t enough to prevent forgery and tampering. As technology advances, counterfeiting techniques become more sophisticated, pushing us to adopt advanced anti-counterfeiting measures, to ensure the authenticity of cardholders.
Embedding smart chips, unique personalization features, and multi-layered security features in custom hologram overlays significantly enhance ID card security.
Suzhou Image has dedicated over a decade to R&D of ID document anti-counterfeiting technologies. We offer a range of holographic lamination solutions tailored to client needs, including various pre-printed cards, laminating machines, printers, and ribbons.
Our anti-counterfeiting measures are divided into overt, covert, and forensic security features, ensuring comprehensive protection.
Introduction to Zero-level Light Diffraction Technology
Zero-level light diffraction is an advanced nano-optical anti-counterfeiting technology. It creates color-changing images through nano-structured diffraction imaging on a high-transparency base, recognized as one of the highest security levels in optical anti-counterfeiting.
How Zero-level Diffractive Imaging Works
This technology generates stable color changes in transparent media by using high-resolution sub-wavelength gratings on the surface of high-refractive-index materials. It provides stable colors and large diffraction angles, and exhibits polarization color change effects, allowing hidden text and image information at specific angles.
For instance, a diffractive image may appear red from a certain angle but turn green when rotated 90 degrees. These colors show a faint red-green alternation but are not as bright as traditional holographic images.
Unique Advantages of Zero-level Light Diffraction
Zero-level diffractive imaging is easy to recognize visually and difficult to counterfeit. It is widely used for identity verification and protection in personal ID documents such as ID cards, driver’s licenses, and student IDs.
Unlike traditional holographic gratings, which are surface gratings on aluminum or reflective transparent materials, diffractive images can be hidden within micro-layers of different optical indices or transparent materials, making replication very difficult.
The micro-grating structure of diffractive imaging is much finer than that of holograms, with a grating period in the sub-0.4 micron range, ensuring a high level of security.
Suzhou Image has 18 years of experience in ID document anti-counterfeiting technologies, with extensive practical experience in government security document projects. We have undertaken numerous international ID card projects, including ID cards, driver’s licenses, social security cards, and employee cards.
Our comprehensive solutions protect ID cards from fraud and wear, offering a variety of secure laminates to meet different plans and budget requirements, and helping clients achieve optimal anti-counterfeiting results.
