Lamination process, the polycarbonate lamination temperature is usually 180℃-200℃. After lamination and punching, the ID documents will go through a laser printing process at the ID issuing station.
One of the headaches is printing area may bulge, especially in the portrait area, because that area receives more laser printing and absorbs higher energy; the main reason is the bonding strength.
To solve this issue, need to analyze and optimize the whole process from PC material selection, top overlay gloss/matt selection, DOVID compatibility, lamination, and laser printing process.
