What is an Optical Laminate Patch?
An Optical Laminate Patch, also called a surface-applied security overlay, is a protective film that combines an optical security layer with a supporting base film.
- Usually 1 mm smaller than a standard card to ensure precise placement.
- Thermally bonds to PVC, PETG, or PC substrates using a professional laminator.
- Provides excellent scratch and wear resistance while keeping high visibility.

Located in the upper left, the hummingbird icon is formed with micro-lenses (0.3–0.8 mm). Tilting the card reveals a rainbow effect that is visible to the naked eye. - Neon Color Diffraction Design
A flower design shifts between red and green at different viewing angles, making duplication more difficult. - High-Gloss Dynamic Lenses
The hummingbird’s eyes contain embedded color lenses, which create a crystal-like effect when moved. - Colorful Relief Lines
Optical color lines combined with metallic silver reliefs generate dynamic color changes and a visible metallic shine. - 3D Floating Visual Effect
In the lower right hexagon, the word “IMAGE” appears to float or sink depending on the angle. Rotating the card also reveals a rainbow-colored IMAGE logo. This 3D illusion is extremely hard to copy.

Ultra-fine text “IMAGE” (0.08 mm high) is hidden in the design lines and contours. Security staff can confirm it with an 80× magnifier, stopping casual reproduction.
