Today, I will combine the customers we have served recently to provide a centralized explanation and answer to the various problems you encounter during the ID card printing process.

The problems basically focus on printing speed, production capacity, printing drawings (black color or multi-color), card specifications, printing ribbons, print heads, warranty and service life, minimum order quantity, delivery period, etc.

Cards are divided into pre-printed cards and cards with completed personalized information in terms of data.

At present, there are two types of projects we are exposed to: First, we provide pre-printed cards, and customers go back and use our ID card printing and laminating equipment for personalized printing and optical overlay lamination.

There is also a part where we directly provide finished cards (that is, cards with personalized information and ID hologram overlay)

IMAGETECH one-stop ID card printing and optical overlay laminating system

Our printing and laminating system includes an input hopper, ID card printing equipment for personal data printing, a flipper (If you want to print or laminate dual-sided, and in this area we flip the card), and the final part (lamination equipment).

The following are twelve common questions that most customers are concerned about and may even encounter during the card printing process.

1. How many ID cards can it print in one hour?

Only printing, about 200 pieces for one hour, means 3 pieces for one minute. Both printing and lamination, about 100-130 cards for one hour, means 1 pieces for twenty-seven seconds.

2. What is the capacity of the input hopper next to the printer?

Maximum capacity: 200 pre-printed cards

3. It can print dual-sided and multiple colors, right?

Yes, usually for the printing process, the front side will be multicolor, and the back side only has black color. If you just need the black color on the backside, there is also this kind of type of ribbon, and this kind of ribbon will be much cheaper than the double color.

So if you want to do the double print, or you want to do some influence. Like some image you want to show in the UV light. We also have this kind of ribbon.

4. How to set the printing data.

The printing equipment will connect to a laptop, then you can make the settings on the laptop, add different elements of the card, like name, date, sex, portrait, and so on. You can add, change, and edit this information before printing.

5. So can this laminating equipment print any size ID card?

Mostly, the size of the card is CR80. So if you have a big-sized or smaller-sized card you want to print, we have a different kind of machine to be suitable.

6. What about the thickness of the card for the printing?

Standard CR80 card, about 0.76 mm. The maximum thickness it can print is about 1mm.

7. How many cards can one roll of ribbon print?

It can print 1000 cards (single-sided 1000 cards, double-sided 500 cards)

8. What about the colors of the lights? What does that mean? I also see the yellow color, the blue color, and I also see the green color.

The blue color means the machine is ready. This yellow color means there is no card inside. The yellow color on the printer machine means the machine is open. You need to close it. The printer is set as a master; this is connected to all.

So If l presses the card. When I load a card in the card slot, the slot area and printer area, the light will turn from yellow to blue.

9. Nowadays, more and more we used the printing and lamination type. So can this kind of machine heavy working like may be 10 or 12hours a day.

Yes, of course, all day long.

10. If I buy 10 sets of this machine, how many years can I use them?

Five years, I think it’s ok, maybe more time. Actually depends on how many cards you printed.

11, Will there be any damage or destruction of the print part, like the printing head?

And if the printing head is damaged, we will supply the original printing head and refresh it. And then you can continue to work on it. You don’t need to buy them again. You just need to refresh the broken one.

12. How about the lead time of the machine, and also the minimum order quantity?

Lead time in total is 30 days. MOQ is about 1 set.
